As a minister, I, of course, officiate weddings where couples are the same religion. But being an interfaith minister is exciting because it gives me the opportunity to design interfaith weddings. I see myself as a bridge between the faiths as I create a ceremony that is beautiful and meaningful for both sides of the family. My husband is Jewish and I was raised Christian. When I was married 35 years ago in a small southern town there wasn't a local rabbi who would officiate our wedding. This caused much stress and confusion. Let me help by writing a ceremony which reflects those traditions which appeal to both of you. I'm sure the beauty of both faiths or the spiritual beliefs which you hold can be beautifully represented in a loving ceremony that will be a treasured memory forever.
